The Campaign
We have launched a campaign to raise Campership endowment and to build the new Climbing Wall and Challenge Course.
This campaign is the “community share” of camp’s renewal project.
The buildings now under construction are the gift of a group of anonymous donors. Their generosity will create a first-class facility nestled on our 50 beautiful acres.
The community campaign will ensure that every local child will have the opportunity to come to camp, rebuild our popular challenge (high and low ropes) course and climbing wall, and permanently secure art and nature program enhancements.
Can kids count on you to make a contribution today?
Note that right now, year-round Hancock County residents have the opportunity to have their contributions double-matched by the Holmes-Progin Matching Gift Challenge. Read more >
Campership Endowment
Great buildings don’t make a great camp – kids make a great camp! Campership endowment funds are the only way to ensure that every local child who wishes to attend summer camp has the opportunity to do so. Camperships are need-based scholarships available to year-round residents of Hancock County. Typically we are able to offer partial to near-full camperships to 60-65 campers, but the need for camperships is always rising. Increasing our Campership Endowment will help ensure that no qualifying child is ever turned away.
The Challenge Course & Climbing Wall
The challenge course and climbing wall give kids unusual opportunities for personal growth and teamwork. Kids love it! The challenges stretch them to think, communicate and cooperate in new ways—and to reach beyond what they believe they can do. We use the challenge course and climbing wall year-round—during summer camp and also with student groups throughout the school year.
Art & Nature Programs Endowment
This endowment will improve and expand our art and nature programs. It will also enable us to combine both programs in ways that encourage each child to unleash the artist within and to explore the natural beauty of our island.
